Faster water movement is appreciated but not required. Misc Notes: Found in rivers near the border between Thailand and Burma in fast moving rivers with wildly fluctuating CO2 and nutrient levels. Can produce reddish-brown or rose colored leaves in very high lighting and certain nutrient situations like nitrate starvation. Emersed: Naturally grows in stands that are partially emersed and partially submerged. Grows and looks beautiful emersed and is one of the best plants for a vivarium or plaudarium. Emersed plants are usually smaller and more compact and will produce flowers
